Excellent results on TIMSS

TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) assessment takes place every four years and is the longest running, large scale international assessment of mathematics and science education in the world. Children are chosen from a random selection of schools to be assessed at 4th and 8th grade levels (9-10 years old and 13-14 years old). Ireland took part and the final results were published last week. Our students in fourth class were randomly selected to participate in this assessment and it is interesting to note the results.

At a 4th grade level (fourth class), according to the latest results, our children are performing better than children from many countries including England, the US, Finland, Australia , Canada, New Zealand and Sweden. Have a look at this attachment by clicking here.
